To our friends and families of Rochester Family Eye Clinic:

We hope you and your families are healthy and safe. It has been a challenging last two months for all of us. We want to say thank you to everyone for your understanding during this closure from Covid-19. We are all hoping to return to some degree of normalcy in the weeks and months ahead. We will be opening our office to routine vision care and our normal business hours starting on Monday May 11th. However, like all businesses in this current climate, change is required.

We want you to know we are committed to everyone’s health and safety and have formalized alterations to our practice based on recommendations from the Minnesota Optometric Association, MN Board of Optometry and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We have made these changes in an effort to protect our doctors, staff and patients going forward. We are doing this for all of us because we are all in this together.

For example:

  • When making your next appointment we will be asking you additional screening questions.
  • We also ask that when you arrive for your appointment that you call from your vehicle to check in.
  • Please wear your mask into your appointment as they will be required for your visit.
  • Temperatures will be checked upon entrance.
  • Required Caregivers, Translators and or one parent will be permitted to accompany patients during their visit. If you have a driver or more than one family member coming, we ask that they wait in the car.
  • Additional hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed throughout the office for your use.
  • Please remember to practice social distancing while in our office.
  • If you are need of eye wear or adjustments to your eye wear it is best to call in advance and make an appointment as we will need to limit the number of patients in our dispensary.

We are looking forward to your return and the opportunity to care for your vision and ocular health. We will continue to work to make our clinic the safest environment possible for you visit. Please call our office if you have any questions, we would be happy to answer them. We would also like to ask for you patience as we move forward, our commitment to offering the very best care and service to our patients will not be altered by these changes. However, you may experience some delays and we just want you to know we are doing everything in our power to make your experience the very best possible.

Thank you

The doctors and staff
